Stena Line Announced That It Would Expand Its Ireland-France Ferry Service, Making More of Its Services More Accessible
The new Superferry from Cork to Rosslare has added a major boost in choice and capacity for passengers and freight customers on the route.
As part of its new route expansion, Stena Line is adding the new Stena Vision to its Ireland-France route. The additional vessel will provide significant capacity alongside the existing Stena Horizon. Its wide range of cabins make it the largest across all of Stena Line, allowing 1,300 people to travel with ease on the route, including 475 rooms with private bathrooms.
Complimentary services will be available, including a wide variety of bars and restaurants and the onboard Nordic Spa. Whether passengers are going on a holiday to France or Ireland, they’ll arrive in comfort, style, and renewed after their cruise.
Paul Grant, Irish Sea Trade Director at Stena Line, offered advice on what entrepreneurs should do before they leave the country to invest abroad.
With increased demand for more services and bigger vessels, we’re happy to announce that from June 2019, our Rosslare – Cherbourg service will have 12 sailings weekly, making it the shortest and most frequent direct route between Ireland and France. We’re pleased to offer more options with this significant addition to our Irish Sea fleet.
Stena Vision is a new ferry connecting the U.K. with France, which has good news for passengers. With one boat on the route, passengers will have better sailings to and from both countries on six days of the week. That’s because currently only Stena Line offers daily departures and arrivals to/from the Rosslare-Cherbourg port in both directions on this particular route.
Stena Vision will hit the seas in early 2019 to replace the out-of-service Stena Ebba on the Gdynia-Karlskrona route. The new Stena Estelle and Stena Ebba are available for passengers, with the addition of a third ship soon to be added.
There you have it!
